Pranayama sequence to start your class

A simple Pranayama sequence that can be used to start your class:

  1. Let’s start on our spine.
  2. Take a large inhale and exhale it.
  3. Congratulate yourself for having given yourself this time on your mat.
  4. I invite you to take a few deep breaths through your nostrils, expanding your belly & chest, filling your lungs.
  5. Now, exhale slowly through your nostrils and start to feel relaxed.
  6. Repeat with full awareness, observing your breath entering your body as you inhale deeply.
  7. Exhale through your nose and release all effort from your body & mind.
  8. Namaste & welcome to the class.
